What’s for dinner? Let’s sort that out.

Welcome to the workshop. Grab yourself a cuppa, get your kitchen ready, or grab a bit of paper and come and hang out with me.

You can cook the chicken wing and dumpling soup with me or use the time to start building your own meal rotation.

There is no right way to do this.

🍲 Cook with me

Watch the replay and make the soup alongside me.

I've included the recipe and shopping list below so you can pause the video, rummage around your kitchen and get stuck in.

And don't worry if you haven't got everything.

One of the things I want you to see is how much you can do with what you've already got.

✍️ Or build your own meal rotation

Not fancy enough for soup? 😂

That's alright.

Grab a piece of paper and let's work out what your people actually like to eat.

Your 10-minute rotation exercise

1. Write down 5 meals your household genuinely enjoys.

Not the meals you think you should be making.

The stuff people actually ask for again.

2. Circle the meals that are easy enough to make regularly.

3. Put a star beside anything that could stretch into another meal.

Think:

  • leftovers for lunch

  • enough for tomorrow's dinner

  • something you can freeze

  • a component you can reuse another day

4. Now look at what you've got.

What can you make with what's already in your kitchen?

What's looking a little sad but perfectly usable?

What could you substitute?

5. Pick your first rotation.

You don't need a colour-coded spreadsheet.

Start with five good ones.

Then cook them.

See what works.

Change what doesn't.

Build from there.

This is what The Kitchen is about.

Not becoming the sort of person who spends Sunday afternoon making 48 perfectly portioned meals in matching tuppawears.

No thank you.

It's about good food, practical systems and making feeding yourself and your people a little easier.

I want you to build a collection of meals you actually love eating, know how to make and can rely on when life is doing what life does.

That's why I created The Kitchen.
